About the Role
Clients are seeking four experienced Advanced Social Work Practitioners to join the Centre for Professional Practice. This role is focused on supporting Newly Qualified Social Workers (NQSWs) through their Assessed and Supported Year in Social Work (ASYE).
You will work closely with NQSWs by:
Sitting alongside them within social work teams to model excellent practice
Providing group supervision and one-to-one developmental support
Supporting professional growth, confidence, and reflective practice
This is a key role in ensuring high-quality practice across Children’s Services and supporting the next generation of social workers.
About the Centre for Professional Practice
The Centre plays a vital role in driving practice quality and learning across Dudley Children’s Services. The team includes:
A Service Manager
Two Team Managers
Four Advanced Social Work Practitioners
Business support, coordination, participation officers, and apprentices
The team is responsible for:
Quality assurance and audit processes
Implementation of the Practice Framework
Workforce learning and development
Student social work placements and ASYE programmes
What The Clients are Looking For
Qualified Social Worker with significant post-qualifying experience
Experience supporting and developing social workers (including Practice Educator experience)
Strong understanding of safeguarding and children’s social care practice
Passion for learning, mentoring, and practice improvement
Commitment to child-centred, strengths-based practice
